How storage works
Storage refers to only cloud storage, documents you keep local, and never sync, don't count. When you do sync, your quota covers document and artifact text, evidence images, and generated PDFs. On Basic, that's 1 GB for your own documents. On Pro, every team's documents draw from one 5 GB per member pool shared across the whole team, not a separate bucket per person.
What "zero knowledge" actually means here
Every document synced to the cloud is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves, using a key generated in the desktop app that's shown to you once. We store the encrypted bytes and enough information to verify a key is correct, but never the key itself and never your plaintext content. Teams share one key so any member can pick up a document; that key can be rotated from the desktop app at any time, including to cut off a member who's left the team.
What happens if I go over my limit?
New evidence uploads are declined once you're at your limit, with a clear message telling you how much you're using. Nothing already synced is automatically ever deleted or locked. Free up space by removing evidence you no longer need, or upgrade for more room.
